Deogyusan Mountain National Park Information Centre

The Deogyusan Mountain National Park Information Centre was developed as part of the 2.5 billion scheme by the Deogyusan National Park office to invest in their carbon-neutral roadmap.

Comprising 733 square meters with two floors above the ground and one underneath, the new information centre is a cornerstone for the National Park visitors, as there was no information centre to guide them previously.

Along with the facilities, the information centre holds an exhibition about the past, present and future of Deogyusan through the so-called companion road.

The development is used as well to educate and promote ecology, carbon neutrality and environmental topics; as described by Lee Sang-won, head of the visiting facilities at Deogyusan National Park: "We will do our best to play a leading role as a carbon-neutral and environmental education base facility where the newly created Deogyusan National Park Visitor Information Center can realize the value of nature and cultivate environmental sensitivity.“

The project showcases the W300 model from the Wood collection, a range that is rapidly gaining popularity in South Korea due to the performance and convenience of porcelain cladding while delivering the original architectural design intent. Combined with the timber-like panels, Frontek has provided the ST110 model from the Stone Texture collection to wrap around the building envelope.
