Taewang Spark

Awarded the 29th Daegu City Architecture Grand Prize, this massive development of almost 23000m2 fits an interactive sports theme park in the busy downtown of Daegu, South Korea. The biggest playground of the city features a 38m wide big wheel for an eye-catching view from anywhere in the city.

Frontek porcelain panels have been used all around the project, from the façade to the patio areas. From the stone texture collection, ICEBERG for the white tonalities to contrast with the JUPITER lines at the façade.

For this development, the client wanted to use the entirety of the most transited corner area, just above ground level, as a projector surface for marketing purposes. To make this possible, our team provided the SN2001 model with a unique finish to bounce back the light at the same projected angle to more accurately and vividly display the images.
