Volvo R&D Centre

Volvo Cars China had announced their plan to establish a R&D centre in Shanghai as early as 2011. The project covers 35,000 square meters with a combined investment of US$65.8 million. As for Stage 2 of the masterplan, architecture firm TJAD Shanghai has continued the modern simplicity design of Stage 1 featuring with Frontek XXL Model S130, an extra white panel with smooth surface in consistence with the pure yet warm interior design. Once the project completes, it will be the first one incorporating Frontek XXL panels in China. The R&D centre in Shanghai will be a key asset in ensuring future Volvo interiors are significantly different in style from those of its premium rivals. Take a look at the soon to complete R&D Centre.
