Michael Kirby Law School Building - Macquarie University

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the Michael Kirby Law School Building at Macquarie University. Located in Wallumattagal campus at North Ryde, the building features Frontek’s VOLUME collection porcelain cladding.

Designed by the renowned architects Hassell and constructed by FDC Construction & Fitout the new law school building has been constructed upon part of the structure of a former existing building. The new structure compromises glue laminated beams and columns, along with cross-laminated timber (CLT) floor panels. The project represents a remarkable example of sustainable development with the integration of renewable building materials.

Installed and developed by Ausrise Facades, part of the main façade features our porcelain cladding. Its design, characterized by the installation of the V1005 model from the VOLUME collection in a horizontal configuration, maximizes the visual impact of horizontal lines, creating a truly stunning aesthetic.

Frontek porcelain cladding, seamlessly integrated with the innovative laminated timber framework, exemplifies a harmonious fusion of modern design and sustainable construction practices in the building's architectural profile.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this project to fruition. Every contribution has been fundamental in achieving this outstanding result and quality finish. We are immensely proud to see the Michael Kirby Law School Building open its doors to the community, and we are confident that it will serve as a hub of intellectual exploration and innovation for years to come.
