St Vincent’s Private Hospital Fitzroy – Construction

The new St Vincent’s Private Hospital building construction is underway, with main works expected to be completed in 2025. St Vincent’s Healthcare Ltd is investing $180 million in its infrastructure to build a new 12-level tower connected with a link bridge to its adjacent existing hospital.

Located in the Fitzroy campus in the heart of Melbourne, the new development’s intent is to increase hospital capacity to attend patients and meet the growing need of the community delivering high-quality care.

Designed by Billard Leece Partnership and built by Kane Construction, the new building is designed to promote collaboration, knowledge sharing and research with other healthcare institutions in the area.

The main façade features a unitised cladding system. A combination of several Frontek porcelain cladding models with triangular cuts are utilised to create the predominant diagonal geometry.

We are very pleased to see the combination of textures and panel orientation come to life. Models from our Texture collection are combined with models from the Nature collection to allow for the differentiated sections in the façade.
